NY Times portfolio review–Oscar Hidalgo

Preview

This essay chronicles individuals & families that have chosen to make their lives on the open road. Some run from the past, and others run towards the future. The common thread is a love for the land and the freedom that comes from not being binded to a plot of land. Some sacrifice creature comforts, while others pack them along for the journey. The vehicles range from self made rolling sculptures to million dollar rolling mansions. The way these nomads live is their choice & that’s the whole point.

Oscar Hidalgo is a documentary photographer who found his way to the profession after pursuing an education in Journalism and Cultural Anthropology.
