Since 1955, the Gens d´images association has awarded the Nadar Award, which rewards a book devoted to photography, presented by its publisher.
In 2021, the Nadar Award will be announced on Thursday, October 28, at the National Library of France.
The Nadar award has been organized and awarded annually by the Gens d´images association since 1955. The National Library of France has been associated with the Award since its creation.
In 2021, the Nadar Award will reward a photography work published between October 1, 2020 and October 31, 2021.
This work can be, among others: a monograph, an author’s book, an exhibition catalog, an essay or a historical research book, a collection of books.
The award-winning book will stand out for:
- the uniqueness of its subject and the relevance of its editorial choices,
- the originality of its layout which makes the book homogeneous and consistent with its subject,
- the care taken in its manufacture – photoengraving, printing, binding …
