Sabrina Raffaghello Contemporary Art was founded in 2004. The gallery has specialized in photographs while the original concept was to focus purely on Italian Photographers, the scope has broadened over time to include works of international photographers. The gallery’s focus has expanded also to include multimedia works by both contemporary artists working in various art forms as well as historically important photographers who have produced significant works in other mediums. The gallery has a strong commitment to her artists and has worked with galleries and institutions around the world. Most of her artists have had extensive museum activity, monographs, critical acclaim and important recognition from the international collecting community. The gallery assists both beginning and veteran collectors in locating, buying and selling work of all 20th century, established and emerging photographers. Additionally, Sabrina Raffaghello is an important reference for acquisition between public and private. Sabrina Raffaghello is also a publisher specialized in art catalogues and books of artist. As columnist and critic Sabrina Raffaghello write in different art magazines. Sabrina in 2007 invented the Alexandria Biennale of contemporary video photography, working closely with the administration of the city of Alexandria and the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage. The format of this innovative event , compares the different languages of contemporary VideoPhotography, confronting Italian artists with a host nation that changes each Biennale. The last Biennale of Alessandria in 2011 hosted 140 artists Italians and Chinese. In 2010 the gallery started a relationship with the Chinese Museum Namoc (National Art Museum of China , Beijing ) and GUMOA (Guandong Museum of Art of Guangzhou): Sabrina curated and organized two exhibitions and at the same time opened her representative office in Shanghai. The gallery works on different levels, with private collectors, corporate and public collections, production of exhibitions and events organization. The gallery is a landmark on the international market.
