Marc Javierre Kohan (1973, Barcelona), photographer
He started out as an assistant in a commercial photo studio in 1997. In 2000, he became a press photographer for the local newspaper L’informatiu de Sants, printed at the time in black-and-white. He remembers the first time his work made the cover, in 2002, a picture of his hand inserting a Euro piece into the coin slot of a telephone booth, the day the journal was first printed in color.
In 2005, he began contributing to La Revista de La Vanguardia, a Sunday supplement without advertising. By 2007, he had published 25 reports.
During the Barcelona complimentary newspaper boom of 2006, he also sent his work to ADN.
