The train was arriving at the station when the text came in. We had been waiting for this text for the past 5 days: the exclusive interview for La Lettre of Maja Hoffmann by Christian Caujolle. Of course we missed our train. It was the least we could do. Maja Hoffman is a grand lady of photography. Her project to transform the SNCF factories of Arles into one of the largest European centre for contemporary art is extraordinary. Let's hope that the bureaucrats, the local mobs, the sects of all denominations, the oversized egos and the many small annoyances won't cripple this project. Unfortunately, the train of the English translator had left already when the text arrived, so you will only be able to read in French the integral interview by Christian Caujolle.
