Mabille Chaumette : Douce d‘Ivry : Color Stories

Preview

The Mabille Chaumette gallery presents the exhibition entitled Color Stories by the photographer Douce d‘Ivry.

Color Stories mainly presents the Asian Colors photographic series, a colorful and sometimes quirky series that reflects Douce d’Ivry’s passion and wonder for Asia where she lived, between Singapore and Hong Kong. Each photo is conceived as a setting and bears her pop and energetic signature.

The Asian Colors series has been selected for the 2020 Picto Fashion Award.

This exhibition is also the opportunity to preview the Slow Life photographic series. A wall is dedicated in the gallery to this new series which, like a cabinet of curiosities, features snails and other insects. Douce d’Ivry offers us a poetic invitation to slow down and ask ourselves, in this context very special and out of time that we have recently gone through.

The artist Douce d’Ivry always strives to forge a strong bond with her environment or the person she photographs, to draw the best stories from them. At the border between fashion and reportage, her photographs bear witness to vibrant and colorful moments. She started her career in Paris, London, Singapore, then Hong Kong. Now back in France, she offers the public her first solo exhibition in Paris. Her work has been published in France and internationally (Dailymail, Hong Kong Free Press, Madame Figaro Hong Kong, CreativeBoom, Apple, Vogue …).
