Psychoterisme (pickup of psychotropic and esotericism) is an experimental video project that questions historical rapports to consciousness modifiers, mixing mystical/shamanic esthetics and their representations, so-called “de soirée” photographs, and the loss of the spiritual rapport to these modifiers in our contemporary world.
The techniques used are also mixes, ranging from the retrieved-on-internet and presented as is, photographs taken by the author, frame-by-frame animation on photoshop, and music created on the occasion… The epileptic aspect is found at once in the manner of animating, in the very short format, in the editing… reinforcing thus the idea that in a single viewing, the spectator can never appreciate all the details of this production.
