Les Editions de Juillet publishes Entretemps, Patrick Tourneboeuf‘s new book. It is presented as follows:

It is an invitation to discover a visual poetic experience at the heart of abandoned places. Patrick Tourneboeuf captures the imprint of time, freezes the memory of forgotten buildings, and reveals an indelible trace where past and present converse.

The poetry of abandoned buildings.

Since his early days as a photographer, Patrick Tourneboeuf has always been drawn to these unknown spaces, imbued with mystery. Fascinated by the way these places reveal themselves to us, he captures the smallest details, revealing a world hidden by time, marked by scars and memories. It is this vision he explores in this project, which he describes thus: “It’s a form of archaeology of the soul, where we simply have to look at small things to shape our imagination and leave an indelible trace.”

Invited in 2019 by the Hôtel Fontfreyde – Clermont-Ferrand Photographic Center, he was tasked with photographing the urban transformations underway in the Auvergne capital. He then began his scouting and immersed himself in this new environment, meeting various stakeholders involved in the project. Although the 2020 pandemic slowed his work, the enthusiasm and desire to bring this project to fruition grew.

He thus constructed a true story through interaction with the places, structures, and people he encountered.
