The 20th edition of the La Gacilly Photo Festival is open. Jacques Rocher, Founder of the Festival and Mayor of La Gacilly writes:
The La Gacilly Photo Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary: an utopia that has become reality over the years.
The creation of the Festival is based on three passions that drive me, of course photography but also the relationship that our human society has with nature and the village of La Gacilly, land of my origins.
In this 20th year, through its title La Nature en héritage, the Festival wishes to remember its mission which is to work for a more responsible world. As such, the photographers exhibited for 20 years are true scouts. By their talents, their visions, they have enabled more than 4 million people to discover in images real societal and environmental issues.
The peculiarity of the Festival is certainly to take place in a village and not a big city, but above all to transform La Gacilly into a veritable gallery open to all audiences. And this, for free.
My thanks go to both the public and private actors, but also to the volunteers and the Festival team who bring this beautiful utopia to life.
