After graduation from l’Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture Parisienne in 1984, Kate Barry (daughter of Jane Birkin and music composer John Barry) made her debut as designer. At the age of 28, she began her career as photographer starting to shoot for magazines such as Vogue, Elle and Le Figaro Magazine Dinard”, a photo book in collaboration with the writer Jean Rollin, has been published.
Kate Barry’s activities have not only been limited to photography, but also include her involvement in the creation of APTE, an association for people suffering substance abuse, she also have an active role with groups working to help socially challenged individuals and supporting the empowerment of women.
