Kristina Sisejeva, « Parthenocissus »

Preview

With “Parthenocissus” we have theopportunity to see this couple of girl and nature, represented by the photographer Kristina Siseveja, in a tenderly bucolic image where a vine wreath entwines the face of a girl to braid  a bridal crown. We are here free to find some less innocent references , often found in the iconography of Christian art, the crown of thorns placed on Christ’s head before crucifixion, or the ecstasy of saints  flagellated with their bonds  …
In each photograph, Sisojeva illustrates this quest and this is why, in the permanence of the subject, the work finds its strength and originality.
