The Carrefour de l’Arbre (sector n°4) is the place I chose to take photographs of the Paris-Roubaix, the famous road bicycle race in France, for about 10 years.
The mystical analogy with the Angelus by Millet here is a pure fancy of the mind inspired by the wild and spectacular interpretation of the Cycling God’s heroic journey across northern France where the cobblestones and potato fields provide the immutable setting for a ritual communion with the public.
