New Mordomos are elected each year at the end of celebrating the Holy Spirit, Azores, Terceira Island. During the next year each one will breed a calf to pay the promises and donations of Parish’s people. The calf is then killed in the seaport, dismantled and taken to the Empire where is blessed, placed in bags along with wine and bread and distributed with children’s help through the Parish.
