The intimate is born of an attitude towards reality that produces photographs laden with internality and melancholy, nothing to do with the images of intimacy that expose an externality. It is a presence, a profundity, an instant that allows seeing the literary space at a glance. The self-portrait is the interrogation of the invisible, the un-incarnate of our being, looking inside in an attempt to get through appearances, to record and render immobile dilated time, the other portrait that signs us. The to-and-fro between intimate and self-portrait is the murmur of this exhibition, an invitation for the eye to glide from one to the other.
