Galerie Sophie Scheidecker presents, from May 29 to July 25, 2026, the exhibition « Stéphanie Pfriender Stylander. Ceci n’est pas une sérigraphie ».
Stéphanie Pfriender Stylander is a New York-based photographer known for her fashion photographs and portraits of actors and musicians. Nourished by the rock scene and by the cinema of the Nouvelle Vague, the artist has developed, for more than forty years, a singular body of work, mainly in black and white.
Over the course of her career, she has collaborated with the leading international magazines and produced images that have become iconic. Her eye has immortalized many figures from fashion, cinema and music, including Kate Moss, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.
The exhibition Ceci n’est pas une sérigraphie brings together, for the first time alongside numerous black-and-white photographs, a selection of color photographs combining fashion images and iconic portraits.
Through these works, Stéphanie Pfriender Stylander captures the personality of her subjects with flair and spontaneity, revealing their strength, fragility and singularity all at once.
For the artist’s second exhibition, Galerie Sophie Scheidecker invites you to discover a selection of photographs that retraces several decades of creation and highlights Stéphanie Pfriender Stylander’s unique gaze.
