Galerie Obsession : Contre, mais tout contre

Preview

Galerie Obsession is opening an exhibition entitled “Contre, mais tout contre”. It presents it as follows:

The exhibition brings together six emerging photographers who explore the male body through varied and surprising approaches, illuminating our gaze with unexpected colors and lights.

This light traverses the glass or mirror emulsion plates of Hervé Bossy, where the silhouettes of Etna and Stromboli extend and blend with characters. In Javier Hirschfeld’s work, the silhouette becomes an entry point, inviting us to a game between photographs of 1860s calling cards and Grindr profiles, in a humorous form of collage that unites landscapes and portraits. The portrait is at the heart of András Ladocsi’s work, who composes with color and the living body, strong or fragile, but always sensitive. Riccardo Olerhead is also a composer, carefully placing elements, directing models and mirrors or the organization of planes in his images. Planes that Enzo Tonati enjoys compressing and dilating with light, sculpting bodies like a draftsman and appreciating colors like a painter in his series created in the Levant. Finally, in Léo Woo’s work, bodies become poetry; they serve as a support for a spoken and sung language, evoking the profusion of flowers in the fields, the thrill of a caress, and the sweetness of summer.
