Until 24 December 2025, Galerie Camera Obscura is presenting Kōan by Luis González Palma, born in 1957 in Guatemala, he lives and works in Córdoba (Argentina). González Palma writes about the series “El Sol”:
Kōan is a question without logical solution in Zen philosophy. Its aim is to break habitual patterns of thought in order to enter a sudden state of enlightenment.
I chose this title, which carries ambiguous feelings between enigma and illumination, for this series, a visual reflection based on astronomical photographs made by the Córdoba Observatory (Argentina). The use of geometry in these images, for me, is linked to a writing of the sacred, to a cosmic order that I describe as divine.
