From November 10th to 12th, the Fotofever Paris fair will take place at the Carrousel du Louvre. More than 80 international galleries and 150 emerging artists will be present, with 30% of new galleries. Among new international exhibitors, the Turkish gallery Gama, the Slovenian Photon gallery or Lecturis Publishers in the Netherlands will offer surprises. On the French side, gallery and festival from Montpellier Les Boutographies and Paris-based gallery, Ségolène Brossette (18th arrondissement) are not to be forgotten.
Fotofever defined itself as the first fair devoted to contemporary photography. This year, the fair offers two focus. The first put light on eight young galleries. The second proposes a geographical highlight on Southeast Asia artistic scene. The scenographic zigzag construction of the fair is again renewed and avoids the usual grid of the common fairs, relegating minor galleries to the confines.
Fotofever continues its opening to online-market galleries, paradoxically allowing themselves to settle into a stand. It will be the case for Artistics, an online gallery offering more than 1000 works to its potential clients.
The fair will also be bounced by conferences and readings. The program, entitled Talks, will be divided into three episodes: The Online Art Market and the Place of Photography (1), The Stages and Actors of an Artist (2), Focus on the Photography Market Far East Asia (3).
