Bercy Village, Saturday, 19h
The day ends with a cheerful Denis Darzacq. A minimalist, the photographer has chosen a white backdrop and a few geometric pieces of furnitire, which he arranges according to the subject: a cube here, a person there, a sphere here, another person there… The families love it and play along.
“The most difficult thing is to come up with 90 different ideas,” he tells me.
Two children wait in line to have their picture taken. They look on with envy at the family who gets to climb on the cubes.
“I like the abstract side with the white studio and the shapes. A bit like Brancusi. What will I remember from these past two days? Probably the diversity of the people. There are a lot of mixed couples, very open people, happy, having fun. I’ve seen more than 90 people come through in two days. That’s a lot.”
Denis Darzacq was born in Paris in 1961. A member of the Agence VU ‘, he lives in Paris.
