For more than ten years I‘ve been with Faith at her dance shows. It’s always an immense pleasure for me to discover her choreography and her creations. Motivated to go further than images for reports, in 2010 we decided to do some personal photographs.
When I showed my portfolio of images of nudes to the photographer Jean-François Bauret, he said to me, “Work with her, there is something to do”.
Before-During-After are, for each show, important stages for the dancer. Each evening, doubt set in, it was necessary to be one with the role then go fully into the character and become involved to the point of exceeding her limits of pain. Evening after evening, without fail.
Back to the dressing-room, the adrenaline and the pressure slowly subside, the body and the mind decompress What’s left after the performance?
