Göksin distributed roles with his long fingers. It’s difficult to remember his words. It was in making the impressive list of those whose lives he transformed by giving them a chance (photographers, editors, writers) that we realize what a great photographic press leader he was, where others were simply merchants.
An Oriental in Paris, working with European and American markets, his great office was a feverish and inviting international crossroads. He loved paying compliments to women, but was not macho, they all enjoyed his trust in their work.
Intuition seemed to be invented by Göksin who used it as much with his staff as with the news.
