Rather than a theme, it’s an emotion that unifies the pictures in this exhibition taken from the award winning book, “There And Away”. That emotion refers to the Japanese expression “Mono No Aware” (the bittersweet awareness of the transient nature of all things). That awareness fosters a deep appreciation of small, fleeting and whimsical moments. The ones that usually go unnoticed. The ones that make up our lives.
