From October 22, 2022 to January 1, 2023, Deauville will host the thirteenth edition of Planches Contact, the photography festival directed by Laura Serani in its Franciscan building. Festivites begin this Saturday with the inaugural weekend.
During the inaugural days, the Franciscaines become the place for meetings and exchanges between artists, professionals and the public. Transformed into the House of the festival, the museum hosts, in addition to many exhibitions, all the activities: round tables, screenings, awards, portfolio readings, workshops, signatures, the auction organized with the photo4food foundation, the Refectory where festival-goers can have lunch…
This year the House of the festival also welcomes Planète Initial, previously at the Point de Vue, resulting from the partnership between the festival and Initial Labo.

Shuttles will be provided between the Franciscaines and the exhibitions in the city.

Initial Planet with Initial Labo, partner of the festival from October 27 to November 2
Initial Labo, for the second year, leaves Boulogne to transfer its laboratory and printers to Deauville – in order to offer experiments and prints – as well as its bookshop, for a focus on photography, to reinforce the offer of the Franciscaines’ store. Signings with photographers and meetings with publishers will punctuate the inaugural days.
