Established in 2009 by the Fotobookfestival Kassel, the KASSEL DUMMY AWARD for the best unpublished photobook mock-up of the year enables emerging talents to produce and publish their photobooks. Selected from hundreds of entries across the world, 50 photobooks shortlisted for the award demonstrate the breadth and ingenuity of contemporary photobook practice and will go on an international exhibition tour.
The KASSEL DUMMY AWARD 2020 kick off – with the final jury session, announcement of the winners and the first shortlist show – takes place at PHOTO 2020 in Melbourne, Australia, in September 2020. Subsequent stops on the tour are Aarhus, Angkor, Cluj (ROU), Dublin, Istanbul, Madrid, Milan, Singapore, Ningbo (CHN), Rome and Zagreb (more to be announced). Entries can be made from 7 January to 17 June 2020.
