fotofever, the international fair of contemporary photography, returns to the Carrousel du Louvre for its 7th edition from 08 to 11 November 2018 with 100 galleries & publishers from 20 countries and 250 artists presented.
Echoing the cultural program planned in Parisian institutions to celebrate the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Japan, the 2018 edition of fotofever highlights the fascinating Japanese photographic scene.
This year’s novelty at fotofever: La Ruche, an area presenting 40 “starter walls”, which are accessible exhibition spaces that allow young galleries to participate in their first fair and confirmed galleries to present their very young talents.
fotofever also launches the first edition of Young Talents Fotofever, an award that gives three young talents the opportunity to present their first exhibition at an international fair. The exhibition is produced by the Dahinden laboratory.
In addition to the program of initiation to the collection of photography entitled Start to Collect, the 2018 edition of the fair will be punctuated with talks and guided tours and will host the PhotoBook Social Club, a collective of 17 independent publishers. Visitors will also discover Women of Photography, a group show of 5 talented women, as well as Roger Schall’s exhibition as part of Masters of Photography.
