As part of its cycle on migration, L’ANGLE presents:
EXPO_018 – “Me dicen El Migrante” by Alain Licari
From October 10 to November 3, 2019
“ME DICEN EL MIGRANTE” is the result of several trips Alain Licari did recently in Mexico, from Tierra Blanca to Tijuana. This photographic narrative retraces the journey and a bit of the history of the so-called “Migrants”. Thus, the series brings us back to the reality of these nomads in spite of them that we often decide not to see, and even less to know.
Alain Licari, self-taught photographer, was born in France and lives in New York, USA. Traveling around the world, he strives to produce a photograph at the crossroads of art and photojournalism, offering a point of view in a geopolitical, social and humanistic context, emphasizing the human side. By attracting the gaze of the other, he finds the moment and the connection – in the most humble way – with the human soul.
