Galerie L’ANGLE – Photographies – From September 21 to November 18, 2018
Opening on September 21st from 6pm to 9pm in the presence of the artist
Inwards
This invitation to travel is the fruit of an intimate encounter with the nature that surrounds us. It is presented in the manner of a dreamlike journey whose path follows the path of contemplation. Transparency effects, suggested by translucent or opaque surfaces as well as vaporous textures invite us to a dive in itself.
Bio.
Native of Biarritz, Fabrice Domenet, born in 1963, lives and works in Paris. Initially trained in choreographic studies, he is a dancer while at the same time doing photography as an autodidact. There is a close relationship between these two areas that he has never been able to dissociate. He thus questions respectively the relation of the body-presence to space and time while seeking from a physical experience, to modify our states of perception. Spotted by image experts during the 2015 “Photo Doc” portfolio readings organized by Carré-sur-Seine in Paris, he exhibited for the first time at the Festival Voies Off Arles in 2016. Since then, he has been invited to exhibit in various galleries in Paris, in the provinces and abroad. He is one of the permanent artists of the Mondapart Gallery in Boulogne-Billancourt-Paris.
Stratum
In addition to the exhibition “Inwards”, L’ANGLE presents “Stratum” directed by Mathis Domenet: Film of 11’30, “Stratum” is an experimental visual approach inscribed in the thematic and spatial continuity of work photograph of Fabrice Domenet.
