Following the collapses in rue Aubagne on November 5, 2018, Zoème presents a series of works focusing on housing and living.
The exhibition will focus on the photographic work done by Franck Pourcel in 2006-2007 in the Noailles district, which led to the publication of the book with sociologist Marie Sengel – De Gré ou de force – Noailles à l’heure de la réhabilitation (Éditions P’tits papiers, 2007).
Among the photographs, we can read some of the testimonies that appear in this book, collected from residents and regulars of the neighborhood between 2005 and 2007 by Marie Sengel. Opening on a sort of imaginary space that invites us to rethink our being-in-the-world, a series of drawings and paintings by artists Alberto Ruce, Giuseppe Güttan, Mahn Kloix and Sebastián Sarti, artists of Atelier 72, will accompany the photographs and the texts.
To better anchor the exhibition in the news of the city, and to initiate a reflection on the methods of organization and citizen participation in political life, we will show a video filmed by Samira Ariyane during the meeting that took place. held at 11 rue de l’Arc on November 7th.
