Christophe Jacrot’s New York in Black series offers a rare and disturbing vision of Manhattan deprived of electricity and plunged into darkness. These photographs, taken in 2012, after the passage of hurricane Sandy, are today the subject of a beautiful book published by h’Artpon (released October 30). The photographer also reissues at the same publisher his book Snjór, released just a year ago, hailed by critics and quickly exhausted.
