Each year, Studio Frank Horvat invites a contemporary artist to engage in a site-specific dialogue with Frank Horvat’s work, his collection of prints by other photographers, and his studio.
Each artist, using their own unique language, discovers forgotten chapters in Frank Horvat’s body of work, which they then compare with their own practice. Each exhibition offers a new perspective on Frank Horvat’s archives.
Studio Frank Horvat has partnered with Editions Process to present a collection of books chronicling these exhibitions. The first three volumes, with Valérie Belin (2021), Anne-Lise Broyer (2022), and Antony Cairns (2023), will be published in October 2024. The next volume, with Jennifer Douzenel, will be released at the end of her exhibition in February 2025.
