As part of the Brassaï estate, the photographer’s family with the Photography Department of the Millon study offers the possibility “for everyone” to acquire at auction one or more prints made by the author in the years 1970/1975. Prints on baryta paper, mostly signed and numbered:
– “A family choice” with a selection of 160 photographs from the 1930s.
– Proofs printed by Brassaï himself in the 70s.

The 160 photographs selected – the majority of which are taken from the 1930s – are among the iconic images of Brassaï’s work.
Brassaï’s “Paris by night” where hoodlums and ladies of the night rub shoulders, brothels, balls, “regulars” of Parisian cafés, sailors… Also Paris by day and its artists, its parties and small trades… And its artists and writers …Picasso, Dalí, Matisse, Kiki de Montparnasse, Alberto Giacometti, Georges Braque, Aristide Maillol, Oskar Kokoschka, Henry Miller, Jean Genet…
