It’s with one laughing & one crying eye I am announcing that I will be leaving The New Yorker on March 15. On this date I will have been with the magazine exactly 15 years. I still love my work here-always have. Creating the New Yorker photo department & it’s visual language was a challenge but a wonderful task which I enjoyed tremendously. I have been fortunate to work for two great editors-in-chief, David Remnick & Tina Brown. What’s next? Not the R (etirement) but a new life, still filled with lots of pictures but on my own schedule.
That is how Elisabeth Biondi, the New Yorker’s mythical director of photography, announced her resignation.
