The éditions de juillet publish « L’effet boomerang » by the Collectif Argos.

Underwater, marine heatwaves are intensifying, as in Polynesia, as are ocean acidification and deoxygenation.
On the surface, slowing ocean currents are drying out the Sahara, and rising water levels are invading the Poitevin Marsh and Florida.
These upheavals, directly linked to global warming, are reshaping our planet… and always end up catching up with us, like a boomerang.

Founded in 2001, the Argos Collective brings together committed journalists and photojournalists. Through their work, they raise awareness of environmental issues through major projects published and shown in a variety of media (exhibitions, press, television, books, etc.). In 2016, their project, Amer, led them to explore the issue of ocean land grabbing, a complex phenomenon that led them to meet Olivier De Schutter, United Nations Special Rapporteur. He highlighted the difficulty of making the ocean visible and understandable to the general public. So, after this first dive into the oceanic world, they began a new investigation, this time examining the links between the ocean and climate change.
