Dominique Mérigard has recorded for fifteen years–thanks to his Polaroid SX-70 camera–the moments spent with his only daughter, moments during holidays , games, of complicity and about inventing the world.Over the time the images show the relationship between the child and the world around her, but also between the photographer and his model, father and daughter. The series ended at the time when his daughter’s childhood turned into adolescence.
This is the question of transformation and transition that is told, but also the question of times we would like to remember, memories that we want to immortalize.
The photographer tries to find the little music, soft or bitter, which comes from the depths of his own childhood. Photographic notes between vivid and buried memories.
