William Knox D’Arcy was not a famous person even in england but after signing of oil contracts with the Qajar kings he became well known to everyone , he was even called ” the father of middle east Oil”. D’ Arcy was a great oil trader and in his time never even saw a barrel of oil , he never went to Iran and his only travel to the middle-east was a short visit to the Suez canal. He was born in 1848 in England.he immigrated to Austrailia with his family when he was 17. He was an adventurer, an accident opened his way to the oil industry .
