For the past ten years, the scuba diving club “Les Dauphins d’Avignon” and the Codep 84 have organized a photography exhibition and video presentation on underwater life in the Mediterranean, to the delight of young and old alike.
This year again, it is evident that the works presented are gradually moving away from a documentary aspect to offer, through the images presented in the selection, a true aesthetic exploration and a sensual creation of high quality.

Underwater photography has rightly been considered an excellent medium for discovering a world relatively inaccessible to most of us. The high-quality images, taken under very specific and often difficult conditions, allowed everyone to become acquainted with the underside of our seas and oceans.
With training on increasingly technologically advanced equipment, some of the divers have passionately dedicated themselves to making their images highly effective in terms of creative communication.
The result, as many viewers have witnessed, is a collection of photographs that convey a definite emotional impact through their perfectly mastered graphic design.
The small selection I made during the competition jury shows you that diving photographers no longer have anything to envy their colleagues who wander on dry land.
