Carte blanche : France–Michel Bousquet

Wrong Spot

This project was built daily base with a Polaroid as a written correspondence. I was writing to “Wrong Spot”, a locality.

“I was initially interested in things in the wrong spot.
Then I put myself in the wrong spot in reference to the topic.
Then I freed myself of the subject and realized that I was more interested in forms and compositions that for me were nearly abstract.
I took these pictures and took notes. I thought about Atget who considered his work “documents for artists” and I realized that some of my pictures could be documents for artists, abstract painters.”
