Caritas Photo Sociale Award : Aglaé Bory

Chaired by agnès b., The jury of the 1st edition of the Caritas Photo Sociale Award named Aglaé Bory as the winner in June for her “Odyssey” project. She has already received an endowment of € 4,000. The Prize also provides for the support of her work through several events.

On October 15, a preview exhibition dedicated to the winner begins on the forecourt of Paris Gare de Lyon until December 15, in partnership with SNCF Gares & Connexions.

Filigranes editions will publish on November 10th the book dedicated to the work of Aglaé Bory entitled “Odyssey”

An exhibition at Point Ephémère opens from December 2 until December 20. that will present the Odyssey photos, the work of the two finalists (Myr Muratet and Julie Joubert) and Pierre Faure, honor mention.

The Caritas France Network launched in 2020 the first edition of the Caritas Photo Sociale Prize to support and encourage photographers who work on the same subjects of concern as the network: poverty, precariousness and exclusion in France. It wishes to create a lasting alliance between the world of photography and the experts in the fight against poverty that are the members of the Network. For the creation and implementation of the Prize, and joined forces with the FETART collective, a specialist in emerging photography, which notably organizes the CIRCULATION (S) festival.
