Festival Images is launching another round of its photography project competition. Artists and photographers have until March 9th 2015 to enter the Vevey International Photography Award. The purpose of this award is to provide crucial assistance for projects that have not been realised, in the form of various grants up to CHF 40,000 (around € 38,000), in order to bring a photography initiative to completion.
End of May 2015, a jury of visual arts professionals will choose the projects that will be supported by the Festival. The winning projects will be realised within the following year and previewed at the next Festival Images in September 2016.
This competition represents a unique form of support for contemporary original works, with a free choice of subject matter and genre.
The Vevey international Photography Award 2015/2016 is open to all artists, professional or student photographers. An amount of CHF 40,000 (around € 38,000) is awarded for the development, realisation and presentation of the winning project. There is also the potential to win other prizes and receive exhibitions proposals at Quai 1 or during the Festival Images.
