American Illustration-American Photography (AI-AP), producers of the leading juried annuals in North America, announces its 4th annual competition to honor the best work being created today in Latin America. Latin American Fotografía y Ilustración, judged by an international jury of top creatives, honor the best work being created today by ilustradores and fotografos latinoamericanos and work created for Latin clients by international artists, in a cross-cultural exchange of art and ideas.

The deadline to participate is on May 25th, 2015.

Eligibility Includes :
– Latin American Citizens living anywhere. Includes all Caribbean nations
– Everyone living or studying in Latin America, regardless of nationality
– Everyone with Latin American clients or projects, regardless of natioanlity
– All images with Latin American subject matter by anyone, regardless of nationality
– Includes citizens of Spain and Portugal and all Spanish/Portuguese speaking countries

Jury :

Marvin Orellana, Photo Editor, New York Magazine, El Salvador / USA: Previous stints include the New York Times Magazine, Marie Claire, More, and the International Center of Photography. Marvin holds a BFA in photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Leonor Mamanna, Photo Editor, Bloomberg USA: She has also worked at New York Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, Conde Nast Traveler, GQ, Men’s Vogue, Money Magazine, and More. She is a native New Yorker, and currently lives in Brooklyn.
Genevieve Fussel, Senior Photo Editor, The New Yorker, USA: Genevieve is a Senior Photo Editor at The New Yorker where she commissions and produces  international and politically oriented stories for the magazine as well as contributing weekly to Photo Booth, The New Yorker’s daily photography blog. Before joining The New Yorker, Fussell worked as the archivist for VII Photo, the international collective of photojournalists based in New York and Paris.
Diego Godlberg, Photographer, Photojournalist,Argentina his work has appeared in all major publications worldwide. Among many distinctions, he won the FNPI (Gabriel García Márquez Foundation) Prize in 2006 for the UN project Chasing the Dream. He has been a jury member in most of the major international contests: W. Eugene Smith, World Press (jury president), Overseas Press Club and CHIPP  (China).
Dani Cattan, Curator, Photographer, Uruguay / USA: former Managing Director of En Foco, Inc. Art Activism and Latin@ Studies at Hampshire College, panelist for the Ninth Annual Humanities and Cultural Studies Conference “Latinidad in the Art World: A Visual Exploration of Belonging” En Foco Managing Director, Editorial Assistant/Copy, Editor for Nueva Luz. Portfolio reviewer for PhotoPlus Expo (2014 & 2013) and FotoFest (2014); Curator for Cambio Totál exhibition to raise funds for victims of hurricane Sandy in Cuba (2013). Bronx Council on the Arts. Panelist for the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance, and the Bronx Council on the Art’s BRIO awards 2014. Curated for an exhibition at the Memphis School of Art.
Adriana Teresa Letorney ,co-founder & Creative Director,  fotovisura,  (aka Adriana Teresa) is the co-Founder & Creative Director FotoVisura.com—the first global networking platform for photography with access to resources including photography websites, grants, workshops and assignment opportunities.
