LAUNCH OF THE 6th EDITION OF THE LE BAL / ADAGP PRIZE FOR YOUNG CREATION.

LE BAL, ADAGP and the French Ministry of Culture announce the launch of the sixth edition of the LE BAL / ADAGP Young Creation Award, one of the most important creative grants in Europe for photography. Since 2015, the Prix LE BAL/ADAGP de la Jeune Création has aimed to be a springboard for emerging creation.
Awarded every two years, the prize is aimed at photographers and/or video artists under the age of 40 who are French or have been living in France for at least five years. The aim of the prize is to support the winner for two years in carrying out a creative project that has already begun, with an endowment of €20,000. At the end of the two years, the winner’s work will be exhibited at the BAL and published.
Preference will be given to projects that fall within the broad spectrum of the image-document, combining political, societal and aesthetic issues.
The first five winners were: Clément Cogitore, Yasmina Benabderrahmane, Éric Minh Cuong Castaing, Marine Peixoto and Marie Quéau.
