The FIFPA – Paraná International Photography Festival is officially opening its call for submissions for articles, visual essays, and photography projects addressing this year’s central theme: “Water: necessity, culture, territory, and knowledge.”
FIFPA has been held in the city of Paraná, in the Entre Ríos region, since 2007. For nearly two decades, it has established itself as a space for meeting, reflection, and creation, bringing together photographers, visual artists, cultural managers, researchers, and communities from around the world.
The festival is part of the Una Foto Escuela cultural project, directed by Eduardo Segura since 1998.

Call for submissions 2026
National and international authors are invited to submit:
Academic articles or critical essays
Photographic or audiovisual projects
Installations and interdisciplinary works
Collective proposals related to water as a vital resource, cultural memory, identity, territory, and spirituality
Submission requirements
All works must be submitted in PDF format, including:
Title and conceptual summary (300 words maximum)
Development text (5 pages maximum)
Series of 10 to 15 low-resolution images for selection

The selected works will be presented at presentations, round tables, screenings, and physical exhibitions as part of FIFPA 2026.
