The photographer Bruno Barbey will give signatures of his latest book Passages at BAL (Paris, 18th) this Saturday from 4 pm to 6 pm, as part of the Magnum Analog Recovery exhibition.
Member of the Academy of Fine Arts of the Institute of France for one year and recognized member of the agency Magnum Photos for 51 years, Bruno Barbey is a recognized photojournalist, having covered Mai 68 in France, the Chinese revolution of Tiananmen , The Vietnam War or General de Gaulle in his official journeys. His work on Gabon, Morocco and Turkey is working and illuminating the visual and documentary knowledge of these countries.
For his photographs, the photographer followed “a small group of filmmakers organized collectively, including Chris Marker, Louis Malle, Resnais, Godard … I gave them my photos from which , Amongst others, films were produced on the bench, 30. The photographs were used anonymously, the directors did not sign, they were the ‘cinétract’. They were sent to the provinces to show what happens in Paris. ”
