Hubert de Wangen, owner and manager of Kowasa, was born on October 10, 1938. A French national, he has resided in Barcelona for over 35 years. He spoke with us about his story and his establishment.
The bookstore has existed since 1986, which started from my private collection of photography books in Kowasa (around 300 books). Today it currently has 10,000 titles and nearly 14,000 volumes. In 1996 the KowasaGallery opened in a space above the bookstore.
