Arte Fiera Bologna

Preview

Arte Fiera will return on February 6th 2026 (with a preview on February 5th), launching its next cycle with the new artistic director Davide Ferri (formerly curator of five editions of Pittura XXI, the section entirely devoted to painting) in synergy with Enea Righi, who will be general manager for the fourth year.

Arte Fiera’s wish is to celebrate Italian art in all its many and varied forms and aspects: a polycentric, polyphonic and heterogeneous system that develops with the same intensity in large and small cities and at different latitudes. In this sense, Bologna and Arte Fiera have always been a historical link between the north and south of our country.

The title of this edition, Cosa sarà (What will be), evokes a forward-looking energy, an element of the unexpected and a desire to renew the ‘format of the fair’, in reference to the enigmatic aspect that so intensely binds collectors and art lovers to contemporary art.

The public’s loyalty to Arte Fiera also stems from its familiarity with the exhibition spaces: the two halls in which it is traditionally held, entirely lit by daylight, create an environment in which post-war art (Hall 26) dialogues with contemporary art and the latest generation of research (Hall 25).

The fair’s new visual identity, designed by Al mare. Studio, clearly expresses the title: vaguely pop, both minimalist and elegant, it transforms the red circle that has always identified Arte Fiera into a moving sign that rises from a hypothetical horizon and becomes a sunrise.
