Arles 2020 day to day by Thierry Maindrault
Far from giving up in front of this Covid 19 which completely disrupts the world order of agendas, “La Place des Photographes” persists in its promotion of photography in absolutely all its forms, of all its ages and without any taboos.
Among the very many photographs exhibited in their Arlesian site, I selected a creator who has done important photographic research on architecture.
During our wanderings in urban areas, more than 90% of the time our gaze is directed towards the ground (for safety reasons) and in horizontal vision (to find the good way).
Jérôme Cherrier lets us discover cities differently from the low toward the high. Through works of extreme quality graphic and technical, this architecture enthusiast, brings us into an imaginary world where the anticipation, the poetry, the light, the strictness, the social life (despite the human absence) and a lot of emotions through geometric picture very clear.
Stop for a coffee, or for lunch, in this large Art gallery which is the real cavern of Ali Baba for the Photography in Arles.
