Fleur Pellerin, the French Minister of Culture and Communication, has named Yves Robert to lead the Centre National des Arts Plastiques (CNAP), replacing Richard Lagrange. Robert has spent his entire professional career working in contemporary art. The CNAP is a department in the Ministry of Culture and Communication involved with visual arts, design and arts professionals. It oversees the national archives of contemporary art.
The minister has asked Robert to develop and implement an innovative project for CNAP, to strengthen its position as a monitor and resource center, to optimize the dissemination of the works of the FNAC and to reaffirm its role as an economic partner of the institution with the public and private sector, and to serve the creation and promotion of a new generation of artists.
Pascal Beausse is the current director of the CNAP’s photographic collections.
