Following a career in commercial photography and a major change in her life, Gearon made her children the focus of her work. In Colourshape, first exhibited at this year’s Paris Photo Los Angeles, the photographer placed her children and pets in colorful, homemade, plexiglass structures, teleporting the familiar into a strange space and time, allowing viewers to appreciate the beauty of being in the moment..
