Marion Pranal and Philippe Jacquier are two passionate people. They have not always been gallerists, before founding the Gallery La Lumière des Roses. They confess: They know nothing about photography! “We are aliens” they say. What they love is not to have the most wanted image in the market in their catalog, but to have what touches them the most. They love to bargain, to collect, to gather around anonymous photographs, most of all and sometimes the names the most evocative from history of photography.
Their alphabet looks like images they would’ve never seen the light of if not for their intervention. Thank to them, these photographs have a second story. This is the first part of the alphabet: A to M.
