Born in the UK, Luke Stephenson studied Photography at Blackpool & Flyde College.
Life in Britain and the British psyche are at the core of Luke’s work. Often humorous in their approach, his series of images ranges from prize budgerigars, to the iconic 99 ice cream, to the Clown Egg Register.
Whether his subjects are animate or inanimate, Luke creates affectionate portraits, and documents worlds often hidden from the mainstream.
Luke Stephenson has previously been awarded the Jerwood Photographic Prize and was selected to showcase his work at the International Festival of Fashion & Photography in Hyeres.
